Free template – Policy and framework for the use of artificial intelligence

One of the first tasks in starting to use artificial intelligence in your organization is to adopt a clear, structured framework for its use. This framework not only provides a framework for the integration of AI, but also ensures that they are used ethically, transparently and with respect for personal data.

To help you adopt this framework, the Artificial Intelligence and Tourism Working Group is proud to make available, free of charge, a sample Policy and guidelines on the use of artificial intelligence. This policy has been designed to meet the needs of our industry and is based on best practices in ethics and compliance.

Why an AI use policy?

Adopting an AI use policy enables :

– Protect personal data: AI often requires the use of sensitive data. It’s important to commit to confidentiality and to comply with applicable laws, such as Bill 25 in Quebec.

– Ensure human accountability: Any decision or content generated by AI must be supervised and validated by a human. Technology is a tool, but the final decision always rests with the individual.

– Promote transparency: Employees, members and customers need to be informed about how AI is used, whether for chatbots, machine translations or generated images.

– Maintain an ethical framework: The policy establishes clear principles to prevent bias and discrimination.

– Implement rigorous governance: The policy calls for a dedicated committee to oversee the use of AI, assess its impact and ensure its alignment with the organization’s values.
